      <image:caption>Daniel Mayer is an acclaimed bassist and guitarist. A distinctive emerging artist of his generation, Daniel has performed throughout New York City and internationally at the Panama Jazz Festival, Nublu, The Public Theater, Jordan Hall, Regattabar, and Museum of Fine Arts Boston. He has performed and collaborated with artists including José Soto, Nasheet Waits, Nat Adderley Jr., Gabriel Nieves, Bruno Bruni, and Fortuno. In 2026, Daniel was selected to participate in an artist residency at the Banff Centre in Alberta, Canada. Today, he leads his own cross-genre group performing original compositions spearheaded by his unique voices on the bass and guitar. While initially starting out on the guitar at the age of nine, Daniel eventually fell in love with the bass and ultimately resolved to pursue both instruments. he holds a B.A. from Bowdoin College and an M.M. from the New England Conservatory, where he was a recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship and Grant Award to study with Cecil McBee, Dave Holland, Frank Carlberg, and Jason Moran. Daniel has been invited to teach and give masterclasses at institutions throughout North America.</image:caption>
